Every year crores of devotees from all over the globe come to Sabarimala to take blessings of the God.

The pilgrimage season starts in mid-November and ends in mid-January. Mandalapooja is the famous festival celebrated for 41 days which makes one Mandalam.This temple exists in the name of Vavar, a muslim who was thought to be close associate of Lord Ayyappa. Makara Jyothi appeared on Jan 14th is the most crowded occasion of this temple.There is no restrictions of caste and religion.This temple is open for men all age group but for women between 10 – 50 years are not allowed into the temple.
