Visakhapatnam or Vizag is one of the oldest port and second-largest city of
Andhra Pradesh which is located in the east coast of Andhra Pradesh. Vizag is famous for steel industry and for the international port. Apart from that, it is the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy.

Kailasagiri is a hilltop with mind-blowing scenic views with an attitude of 130 Meters from sea level situated in Visakhapatnam or Vizag District. The major attraction of the park is Lord Shiva and Parvathi Statue. The park spread over an area of 350 acres of land having lush green grass and trees. Famous RK beach and Rishikonda are located nearby. You can see the viewpoint from here.

Ramakrishna Beach is also known as RK Beach is the largest stretch of seafront in Visakhapatnam or Vizag. This beach is a heavily crowded beach and picnic spot.RK beach is the place for Visakha Utsav, the annual festival of the Visakhapatnam or Vizag District.

This beach presents a picturesque and beautiful scenic located on the coast of Bay of Bengal. The famous INS Kursura Submarine Museum and War Memorial dedicated to soldiers of the Indo-Pak war of 1971 were close to the RK beach.

Tourists attract to this beach more and its perfect viewpoint of Sunset and Sunrises. This beach offers water activities like volleyball, water surfing, and Sun Bathing. Rishikonda Beach :

Rishikonda Beach or Rushikonda Beach is an extremely beautiful beach situated on the Bay of Bengal coast in Visakhapatnam or Vizag. This beach also is known as ‘The Jewel of the Eastern Coast’.Its large stretch of golden sand and aqua water of the sea is an eye-catching View of Rishikonda Beach. This beach surrounded by flora and fauna which attracts many visitors.

Submarine Museum :

Submarine Museum is established within the submarine called INS Kurusura located on the Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam or Vizag. It is a Russian built submarine of the Indian Navy and India’s 5th Submarine. The museum was opened to the public in the year of 2002 and spent on this project approximately 5.5 cr. The museum was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The length and breadth of Submarine are 91 and 80 meters.

The museum consists of artifacts and pictures of the details of submarine and life inside the submarine. This submarine can stay up to 48 hours inside the water. Simhachalam Temple or Simhadri Temple is a Hindu temple in 11th Century with a height of 800 meters above the sea level which located on the top of the Simhachalam Hills in the Visakhapatnam or Vizag. The temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha avatar of Lord Vishnu. This temple is one of the eighteen shrines and called as NarasimhaKshetras.

The Lord Narasimha ‘Nijarupadarshan’ appears only for 12 hours per year in the month of may and celebrated as Chandanotsavam Festival. Later the deity covered with sandal paste. The temple looks like Kalinga architecture. Simhachalam stands second largest temple in AP.

There is one pillar inside the temple called as the Kappa Stambham or Tribute Pillar where believes that great power of curing diseases. Even this pillar is special attraction to the temple. Thousands of devotees from different country visit this temple.

The valley surrounded by lush green dense forests and hills, streams and waterfalls. The valley is spread over an area of 36 sq Km. It is famous for coffee plantation. There are 2500 trees spread across 37 acres out of 55 acres. Even the park provides boating, swimming, Musical Fountain, and Horse and Camel Riding. Moreover, you will find Yoga Center, Children’s area and many more. During the weekend, Many visitors from local or other state people visit this park. The dancing musical fountain entertains the visitors.

Indira Gandhi Zoological Park :

Indira Gandhi Zoological Park is the largest zoo park in Andhra Pradesh and established in the year 1977. This zoo is also known as Visakhapatnam
Zoo with a large area of 625 acres of land. The park is home for 100 species of mammals and birds. Even Reptiles, crocodile, Wolves, Monkeys, Lion, tigers and Hippopotamus are visible in this Zoo.

Inside the park, you will find Drinking Water, Canteen and Toy Train where you can enjoy with friends and families. There is an education center called ‘Bioscope’ which brings awareness about wildlife to visitors. The timings of the zoo will be from 9 AM to 5 PM.
